manzanillo portGerardo Ruiz Esparza, Secretary of Communications and Transportation in Mexico, announced investments to be made in Colima for $11 billion pesos (US$750 million approx) for highway infrastructure and two new viaducts in the port of Manzanillo.

After revealing a commemorative plaque for the highways Guadalajara-Colima, Tramo Colima-Tonila, which was widened from four to six lanes which represented an investment of $500 million pesos (U$35 million approx), the Secretary Gerardo Ruiz Esparza, emphasized the importance that the project means to overall connectivity of the Manzanillo port to the central region of Mexico.
