Bombardier Mexico expressed significant interest in infrastructure projects in Mexico. At a recent Canadian Chamber meeting, Alfredo Nolasco, Bombardier General Manager, said that rail transportation is an efficient option in the use of resources and is more environmentally friendly.
He also said that although the Mexican market is very competitive, there is a big potential in unsolicited projects and for the development of core systems around the country.
He clarified that the bus transportation is effective, but it is already used as a main transportation route, when they should power a rail system, “so there are several projects where we should help in order to develop efficient rail transportation in Mexico.” and further expressed interest in rail projects in Mexico and bids in Mexico City, specifically the Subway line 1.
He was not concerned about exchange rate volatility citing financial hedging instruments that are available in the market.Older postNewer post
