Kansas City Southern Mexico will perform maintenance work on its Saltillo rail line this summer, which will help to grow capacity, as well as maintain and enhance safety on KCS’ cross-border network.
On May 27, maintenance-of-way improvements will begin on the Saltillo line between Naranjo and Morales, N.L. The work is anticipated to last about four and a half months, ending around October 7.
Starting June 1 and continuing through July 20, maintenance-of-way will be performed on the tracks in the Caltzontzin District, between Ajuno and Lazaro Cardenas, Michoacán. This corridor serves the traffic going to and from the Port of Lazaro Cardenas.
